I am trying to put Linux on an old computer but I cannot change the boot drive to the CD. I cannot enter F9 into the bios to select booting device after post, I can only enter F1 to continues to boot windows on the computer. Its a Phoenix -AwardBIOS v6.00PG. I was wondering if anybody would have any ideas?
try all of the function keys?
i belive they use F2,
but disconnect hdd and plug it in as usb, this will make you boot from cd by priority. *unless it doesn't recognize it under usb.
Delete to enter BIOS?
Then select Boot disk
Alternatively unplug all hdd's, use a USB version of Linux installer and plug drives back in (as long as your mobo supports hot swap)
