Cant get raid 0 to work (solved)

I'm driving my self crazy trying to set up RAID 0.

My Motherboard is a Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0. I have my OS installed on a 128Gb Samsung 840 PRO Series. And im trying to put 2 1Tb WD Blacks in raid 0 for storage.

So my motherboards manual says to go into the BIOS and set Sata ports 1-4 to RAID and Sata ports 5-6 to either AHCI or IDE (or RAID if I want an array with more than 4 drives). So I plugged my hard drives into ports 1-4 and put my optical drive and ssd into ports 5-6.

The problem is I cant actually set ports 5-6 to AHCI, so after I set up RAID I cant boot from my SSD (my optical drive works for some reason).

I'm in over my head on this. I've put my drives in every configuration I can think of, and i can't get it to work. Which is annoying because i have to take my graphics card out to get to the ports.

Thanks to anyone who can give some advice.

I think I found a way fix in Windows. I went into disk management, and created a striped volume selecting both drives. That's Raid 0, right? Let me know if I'm still not doing it right.
