I recently got my shipment in the mail for the new pc parts I had been saving up to get for a while. (will post specs)
inwin dragonslayer case
msi 760gma-p34 (mobo)
amd fx 6300
Phanteks ph-tc12dx_rd (cpu cooler)
g.skill sniper 8 gigs
samsung 840 evo 120gigs (ssd)
wd black 1tb hard drive
corsair cxm cx500m
My problem is that the mobo when booting up does not show an option to get into bios, like (press "blabla" to enter bios). the booklet says that for this mobo its delete but when i press delete it does nothing. when i wait, a random thing appears that shows some loading, and says press any key to enter loading menu. when i do it just shows the ssd that has windows 7 on it, but does not show the wd 1tb hdd. if i remove the ssd from the mobo then it just keeps cycling between the loading screen that says press any key to enter boot menu, and the no boot-able drive text. Someone help me plz, i want to game but have not been able to cause i need to see how to get into bios to try to see why the mobo does not recognize the 1tb hdd.
P.S it is not the hdd, i tried another wd black drive and it did not recognize it either.... so i need to see if it recognizes it in the bios and if there are some enabling issues there. ty hope someone can help me before i grow weary and just jump out of a window or something. xD
Well normally when the post screen shows up with all the detected hardware it will show the key to press to enter the bios (granted if you have a decent system it will disappear rather quickly). Are you saying you don't see this screen at all? Could be that you have the drive hooked up to a different controller that your ssd is hooked up to and it isn't enabled in the bios.
this is probably the problem but i cannot get into the bios because during post it does ask if i would like to enter the bios. like for example it should say " press delete to enter bios" but it doesnt.
ok so turns out i just was pressing the wrong button when i was in bootup....... i must ahve done something extremely wrong cause now the monitor doesnt even turn on...... and i cant remember what it is exaclty that i did
Where are you looking to see the HDD in Windows? Just My Computer? Or are you looking in Disk Management? Are the WD Blacks clean drives or do they have stuff on them? IF they are new, you should be able to find them in Disk Management, format them, and assign drive letters
Ok I'm bumping this... Has anyone find a solution yet? I´ve been trying to boot from USB on a laptop, but cant access BIOS to set boot device order up... It says, "Press [F2] for setup" but it doesn't do anything...
Will removing the battery (which I'm avoiding because of the pain it is ti dissassemble) help¿?
