Can't disable RGB when system is off and KVM is plugged in

Problem:

I’m using this on a PC with a Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Pro. When I have the USB connected to the KVM, somehow the KVM feeds power back up the USB bus and it powers the RGB on my computer. The RAM and the RGB that’s built into the motherboard illuminate with their default pattern, even when the PSU is disconnected from the motherboard. Unfortunately this holds true even if I have turned off the RGB in the BIOS or in my RGB software prior to shutting down the computer.

You should have seen my jaw drop when I unplugged the PSU from the wall and the RGB still remained on. But when I unplug the KVM USB it stops.

The light is making it difficult to fall asleep. Is there any way to fix this?

iirc the bios option to disable RGB should work. it mostly shouldn’t normally back feed power though. tried other ports on the KVM
