Cant boot with new 780i, need help

OK im going to copy and paste the thread i put in overclock.net that got no replies, lol. When I try to boot it goes through the screen looks like its checking everything and I have to hit F1 to continue, then it goes to a similar screen that says a bunch of things.Â
After this it will go to the Windows Error Recovery and when I press Start Normally it will go to a certain point then the screen just says No Video Input and it restarts...

I have tried booting with 1 stick and 2 sticks of RAM, next im going to try another GPU

Any suggestion though?
The LED things says FF so it doesnt have an error according to that.. even though it wont boot

EDIT: Right before it reboots it shows a blue screen that i dont have time to read
and the HDD is OK because the only new parts i have put in is the 780i and the Q9550 and RAM

*after trying some stuffI have booted with 1 stick of RAM using both sticks in the slot and iv tried to boot with both.
I have tried 2 different graphics cards.
I just took out the CPU and put it back in which was a pain because of the heatsink.

And it still just goes to that blue screen for a split second that i cant read and then restarts. It will get halfway there but then just restarts.

Iv replaced the power plug to my HDD and the SATA cord and iv tried all of the above, so I have no clue what is wrong
If you know please give me an idea

OK well it turns out the Blue Screen just saysÂ
A problem has been detected and your computer must be shut down to avoid damage or something
and then it tells me to run checkdisk

so i still have no clue what to do
I have also set my RAM to 2.0v instead of 1.8 because i read somewhere that will help
Gskill DDr2 800Mhz
it didnt help

-- The three lights or whatever on the board above the RAM
of course the one is blue to show power

but the ones above it: the one on the right is green, and the one on the left is orange
idk what that means

and when i turn it on or off a red one pops up for a seconds near the heatsink and here is my current setup:

Can you get into bios?

Get ubuntu live cd, backup everything you got, then reformat. Windows dont like switching of motherboards without formats.

There is probably some other ways, but I dont know...

Yeah it sucks how you have to reinstall everything after you swap mobos :(

Alright so, know where I can get a live cdand then I can just back everything up and reinstall? I dont have a disk for Vista, but will I be able to install a downloaded Vista on my hard drive and put my files on that OSOh and I can get in the BiOS

No. You need a disc of vista.

You can get a livecd by downloading ubuntu image file and burn it to a cd or dvd.

ok, download ubuntu and burn that.but I bought the computer from a store and then upgraded so I dont have disc but I can burn vista to a disc and install i guess

After you burn a windows CD of your choice coughtrywin7*cough*

Then put it in your dvd drive (or whatever you have) then go to bios and set the drive as your boot.

Then try installing.

So, the Win7 you can get off the microsoft site. or a more complete version...?

you cant get the rc from microsoft anymore. You can get it on various torrent sites tho.
Microsoft is still giving activation keys I think.. not sure

Oh alright, well ill get a release client but if i cant ill have to get the full activated and those keys are probably going to be blacklisted soon. lol, ill find a way to get it and if not ill just go back to vistathanks for the help ill update this if a new OS doesnt work lol

I had this exact same problem on my old XP machine, it turned out to be the motherboard. I was getting the blue screen like you were it would get passed the loading windows thing then the blue screen would pop up then restart. If everything else fails RMA your 780i.

FF stands for fully functioning, however if it says FF immediately after turning on the computer there is an error. FF should show up after a few boot hex codes show up. so what you need to do is reseat your ram and cpu. EVGA on the tube has a video about this error.

EDIT

i have switched from a 790i to an x58 on the same install of windows vista without issues.

Clear CMOS then reboot.

-Read below if problem persists-

Go to Ubuntu.com (google it if you must)

Download the x64bit 9.04 or w/e they have now.

Use Alcohol 120% or PowerISO or Nero to burn the image and make a bootable disk.

Boot with Ubuntu

-Read below if problem persists-

Remove the motherboard and test with a different processor/ram/graphic card/psu

-Read below if problem persists-

RMA and hope you have EVGA

Thx for the help you and everybody, but I got a "perfectly legal" version of Vista Ultimate and its only 5GB!! and my computer now boots!

But i was too lazy to save files so i have to redownload 10-15 STEAM games and get like 20 more installed.

and Rice, i got Zotac, it had good reviews and its a gamble.... i did it for the lulz

what do you mean by perfectly legal?

he means he didn't pirate windows

Actaully what i meant was that I tottaly just downloaded vista ultimate in 30 minutes. Yea thought id clear up any confusion
