I just built my first pc, but I can't boot to windows. I've installed windows on a flash drive and tried it on a computer with an os already. It worked. However, it doesn't boot to windows on my new computer even though I changed the boot order so the flash drive is first. My motherboard is the biostar ta970. Any ideas?
1st thing - have you tried to boot this windows installation from flash driver before?
2nd - Sometimes hardware difference might cause system to fail to load up - you'll need to attempt to start from safe mode and remove/attempt to change fundamental drivers - might be good to run sfc /scannow and attempt to fix mbr etc; also sometimes letter change of the drive might cause system to fail - as there are registry entries leading to other drives.
