Cannot get 1.4 Displyport KVM to work with 4th monitor on RTX 3090

I have a RTX 3090 which has 3 Display Ports and 1 HDMI port. I used a Display Port to HDMI conversion cable and am unable to get the HDMI port on my 3090 to show the 4th monitor. I have searched the forums and the main install thread and am not finding anything about this. Is there a way to get the HDMI port on my 3090 to work with the 1.4 Display Port KVM?

I am connecting to LG 4K UHD 27UD88-W 27" LED-Lit Monitor with the following specs

  • 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS Monitor; Response Time: 5ms GTG; Refresh Rate: 60Hz
  • SRGB over 99%; On-Screen Control with Screen Split 2.0
  • Color Calibration Pro; No Built In Speakers

  • OS Compatibility Windows 8
  • Mounting type: VESA Compatible; Pixel pitch 0.1554mm x 0.1554mm

You will need a usb powered hdmi to dp cable. Nothing else will work.

DP to HDMI is not the same as HDMI to DP.

Two quick questions.

Would I connect this between the KVM and the computer? Or between the KVM and monitor?

Between the KVm and computer. From the KVm it’s dp all the way back to the monitor

The adapter you linked topped out at 4k/30

OK thank you for the help, I am buying one of each of these to test out and see which gives the better performance. I posted links for others that may have the same question.

120hz USB Powered
Some people report glitch’s with the 120hz in the reviews, it is possible they may have pulled the product since i can not find it on Clubs website

This seems to be a newer supported model but again, people report issues saying it’s great when it works and the power has to be unplugged and repluge when changing from Full screen games to normal screen.
