I was watching Linus tech tips live stream and their camera quality was really good, either they have a really....good wabcam or they somehow connected a high quality camera to their computer and use it as a live camera for twitch. Can you use a digital camera as a high quality webcam?
yes but I am not the one to talk to about quality set up
What I think is that Linus has a DSLR of some sort which has a live hdmi out, which then he connects to a capture card.
So yes, I think Logan does the same, which OBS and then saves as MP4 instead of streaming the Tek.
That's what I believe. Don't take my word on it.
not all cameras that can capture video can stream it at the same time
even if it has an hdmi its usually just for video/picture play back
you have to check with the camera
(The feature is usually left out for higher end devices, for some cameras you can get hacked firmware updates)
That's exactly what Linus does. If you watch the tour of his headquarters he talks about it.
With my Canon 650D (A Dslr) You can plug it into the computer via AV Digital out (Probably would work with HDMI) then open the canon software that allows you to use a monitor as a control for your DSLR (Its called EOS something) then you can use a software to capture your live video which is the software then you set that as your camera.IT IS BAD FOR THE CAMERA, If the shutter stays open for more than 10 minutes it starts to heat up and can cause damage if used to much.
