Steamdeck in desktop-mode, listening to music (FLAC-format) from the microSD (ext4) (player is called “Clementine”), never had any issues over headset or Bluetooth.

Should add that I am writing this while listening to uninterrupted music

Yes with a background music player like “Music Player Daemon”

i’ve had issues with sound not playing at all, but never interruption issues.

to note that if it’s your youtube player or whatnot who stop when you play something else, that’s not the OS fault but a “feature” of the browser I’m sure you can change in some setting.

Could anyone using Fedora please test?

I am having more frequent audio pausing using Audacity, but the default Elisa music player also occasionally pauses. I do not have this issue on another system, but it runs debian. I do not recall ever having this issue on any Linux system, until Fedora 38, but have not tested this exact use case before, so it could be an issue with previous releases and nobody has been aware of it until now.
