Can this run 40" 4K?

I have been watching some of the 40" 4K videos on the Hardware channel and I am liking the look of it. I am thinking about buying http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-AMH-A409U-UHD-40-3840X2160-16-9-4K-LED-Monitor-60Hz-DP1-2-HDMI2-0-Remote/321856997207?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D1698a8a65e054028b757b2a4e96cbf6b%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D221894799314

For my setup, but I don't know wether my pc will be able to power it, and my dual 1080p 21.5" monitors.

Here are the specs:

(The PSU is slightly different but still 650w)

Could you also make a recommendation of a 40" or big monitor that is maybe 1440p if you don't think my pc can power the 4K one.

Thanks!

I would not be too optimistic for it , you may be able to run a few games on low -medium settings, but the 270 is more of a 1080p card.

So that's the PC you already have? It should be able to run the display without issue, but unless it's an idie game I don't think you'll be gaming at 4k.

270x will struggle with 4k.
If you want to do proper 4k gaming get a Fury card, either the Fury, Fury nano (not recommended) or Fury X.

I wont be gaming on it, just programming.

No gaming? then anything with dp 1.2 and or HDMI 2.0 will do
Unless you want to do 4k 30hz.

Hi ! My son codes on 4k with a ATI 6990 1080p

It just isn't quite there for 4K gaming, but you could always just game at 1080p and do everything else at 4K.

You won't be gaming but for programming that would be a great setup. You really could even game at 1080p and that would look great if you ever did feel the itch.

As everyone has stated, as long as your GPU has DP 1.2, you will be golden at 4k. I have a 280X and it can push 4k, but struggles at times.

Oh ok. Thanks Qain and everyone who helped, I might actually be buying one of the X-stars 1440p instead, but I might try 4K in the months coming.

I would still suggest going with a 4k monitor.. as if/when you upgrade you just bump your resolution.
It can do 1440p but it messes with the ratio.

I have seen the light of a 40" 4K monitor... I will not return any time soon.

Absolutely ! Actually, there is NO return from a 40 inch experience !
It is almost if it was always to be that way !!!! :-)
