I was wondering if it is possible to run steam OS 'till my windows copy comes and not have to much of a hassle is that possible?
Do you want to dual boot? Since windows jacks up the GRUB boot loader so you will have to re install grub again and most the whole OS.
Emm... I'm not sure would it be better to delete steamOS after i get windows or is that not possible/not worth it?
Yes you can.I would recommend deleting it with GParted instead of Windows.

I would recommend just using a full Linux distro so you have more software available to you until Windows arrives. I would still keep a little space open for a Linux install since Linux has a lot of handy system/network tools and sometimes can remove viruses that Windows can't. You can install Linux after you install Windows.
Is it easy to install?
I have never build a pc before and don't want to screw it up
If you can press the next button, then you can install Linux.
Rock Korora, Opensuse or one of the Ubuntus and you will be fine.
but i can't get it if i have no OS do i put it on a USB?
You don't have another computer in your house or a friends computer to go download it from?
ooohh sorry xD
