Can I run a XFX 9600GT in SLI with a different com

Hi, I have a XFX 9600GT XXX Alpha Dog Edition, and im having trouble finding another but there is lots of other makes selling 9600GT's with the same overclocks, so can I use a different companies 9600GT with a XFX one?

-Yes.

k thanks for the reply

go evga =) life time warranty

the warranty gap is closing between evga and xfx so i dont think it matters than much anymore with xfx's double lifetime warranty.

double lifetime warranty? LOL

double life time warranty dude i only live one life lol

Just make sure they're both 9600s lol

as long as its the same card, ie. xfx 9800 with evga 9800 so on and so forth.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies, I am thinking of getting another just after Christmas and hopefully the prices will have dropped a bit by then.

double lifetime warrenty means that if you were to sell your card to a friend or something, they'd still get lifetime warrenty on it :P

I still prefer XFX, though EVGA and XFX seem to be pretty similar

yha xfx and evga are the 2 big boy of the graphics card industries i still wonder why nvidia dosent just make the cards instead of getting other companies to do them

yes, the only thing that needs to be the same is the gpu core, they can be at different clock speeds and everything

yes as long as they have the same amount of ram =]

I'm trying to SLI 9600GTs as well, but I can't with P35 as of now. Hopefully later. And you can SLI a 9800GT with an 8800GT because they're that much the same.

just wait on those bios updates for the intel mobos, they'll probably get the support for SLI sooner or later.

Yeah I hope they do, with 2 9600GTs on my 19" monitor I'll be able to own Crysis and Stalker.
