Im deciding on a graphics card right now. Im either going a with a gtx 650 ti boost or a radeon 270x. I wanna go with the radeon but the price is 60 bucks more! Im a kid and have to purchase my pc myselfSwitch BF3 a gtx 650 TI.B can run it at 45 fps. A radeon r9 270x can run it at 95 fps. Should I spend the money on the radeon for the extra performance. Or get the boost for my buck. HELP.
Forgot to add. I wanna run 2 graphics cards in SLI. If a r9 can do that. Ill go with a radeon.
AMD cards when 2 cards are in use is called Crossfire. You can't crossfire an Nvidia Card with a AMD card. And to answer your question the R9-270X has one Crossfire Dim for 2 way Crossfire setups.
And if I were you I would go with the R9-270X or to save even more money go with 7870 they are the same card and its cheaper. And I believe with the 7870 it still running never settle forever so you'll get 2 games for free I believe.
a 270x is a 7870, a 7870 is significantly cheaper, for the same money you could get a 7950 (even better)
i can't tell you if the performance is worth it to you, also if you plan on cf/sli right away then don't you can do better for the money insingle card and not have all of the cf/sli issues
Two 7950s are around 400 total. what single card could you get to beat it out? Dual 7950s have almost the exact same performance as dual 7970s. The 50s scale a bit better.
