Can I get some help on a $450 build?

Hey everyone, my Xbox 360 is getting kind of old, and I decided to switch over to the  PC world. Problem is, my computer is almost non-functional, and I don't have much money to spend. However, for what I need it for, I think it's easily possible. I only do some light gaming right now, but I want to start recording and editing. That doesn't need to be considered besides that I need an upgrade path for it later. Anyways, here's what I need:

  •  Budget: $450 max
  • Where do you live: Southern N.J (too far away from the microcenter in North Jersey)
  • Do you need or already have peripherals? Yes, but I need a new keyboard.
  • What will you be using your future computer for: Gaming above all, Netflix/Youtube, I want to start learning how to video edit and program, so something that can do that, or has an upgrade path to do that.
  • Do you overclock or want to get into overclocking: I don't really care.
  • Do you plan on going for custom watercooling now, or in the future: Maybe?
  • OS. Do you need a new one: I'm going to use Linux for now to save money on an Operating System.

  • What kind of settings do you like or what FPS do you want to play at: I really want the highest FPS I can get, and I don't care if I have to tone down the settings to achieve that.
  • What resolution will you be playing at: 1080, but I have a small monitor that is 720 I might use.
  • What kind of games do you like to play: MMO's, Open-world, adventure.
  • What specific game will you be playing: MineCraft, LoL, Starbound, Gmod, TF2. I'll probably play some for demanding FPS's later on, so an upgrade path will be next.

If you guys need anymore information, just ask me, I'm glad to help. Also if I could get a somewhat fast reply, that'd be great, I need to buy this asap, so the faster the better.

Here a few suggestions of mine...
If you don't want to include taxes or the keyboard in the budget

Alright, thanks! I really like Funion's build, but I'm thinking, can I substitute the 260x for a Gigabyte 750ti? I say that because the Gigabyte has 2 fans, which I guess I could overclock on.

No point in really OCing the 750ti.. but yeah you can sub if you want.

Alright, sounds good. But I can still get more performance out of it, and it fits my budget.

Yeah you can probably get 5% more performance from OCing if you get one with an aftermarket cooler... so something like this.

Sorry guys, I hate to revive this, but I actually have up to $500 now, and I want to know what I should upgrade in that build.

Might want to consider to stick with single channel ram for now(1x4gb), and upgrade later, since there are only 2 slots on the motherboard  You'll loose some performance, but you won't have to sell your RAM sticks later when you want to upgrade.
