Can I buy Windows 8 from the US?

I live in the UK and am planing to build a pc.

Windows 8 system builders edition costs around £70 in the uk which is over 100 dollars.

Can i buy windows 8 from the us which is cheaper and have it work in my pc and function correctly?

Last I checked, Windows 8 is going for $90 here. It's probably gonna be over $100 to ship over seas... but who knows.
