Can A USB C Dongle Provide Power To The Peripherals On It's Own

I apologize for the strange/dumb question, but it is a really important one.

I currently have a Nintendo Switch that I want to use Linux on, but I need I way to use a keyboard and mouse on the device (in order to configure it). I found out that the Linux kernel does have a driver to use the USB port, but it won’t be able to supply power for the peripherals.

I was thinking of getting a USB C hub and hooking up my switch power cord to it, but I wanted to know if the dongle would supply power to the keyboard and mouse if the Switch is not able to.

TL:DR - If I have a device that is not able to provide power through a USB C port, would a dongle be able to provide the needed power to the peripherals by connecting a power cord to it?

Probably want a powered usb hub. You’ll need external power from somewhere.

Sound’s like I would probably have to use something like this instead. I guess a USB C hub that allows you to plug in a TYPE C charger won’t work, right?

Edit: I found a better product that can work for my needs.
