CAD/Editing/Gaming Rig (HELP!)

I'm currently building a new computer for Video Editing, CAD, and maybe some server use...

My budget is around $1500, so post whatever you would do for the price, minus the hard drives and peripherals (I have 5 TB's worth already but i'm interested in some SSD's)

Here is what I have so far: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=22102465

(I've also been looking at a dual G34 setup, more for server use but I am not so sure. As it would raise the cost to around $2-3k.. I was looking at dual Opteron 6344)

It will end up being around $1500, as I am getting the 670 GPU for around $250 on these forums.

I'm interested in some critique on my rig!

Cheers!

great build! the 3770k is wicked fast it can handle anything, i have it too, but for ssd's i highly recomend the new ocz vector, its neck and neck with the samsung pro 840 with 520 mb writes and and 540 mb upload speeds!

Awesome build but for about $300 more, you can get sandy bridge E 6 core x79 with a 3930k. Its epically fast! but if you don't wanna spend more, this build is great

I'd scale WAY back on that case. Remember that your case is just the thing your computer sits in. as long as you got a decent I/O panel and enough room/airflow, that's all you need.

Here's something that would do quite nicely for around $1300

I hate expensive cases... You can easily save like $200 on your case.. Other then that your build is good

Thanks everyone, ordering the stuff soon. Still deciding if the case is worth it!

If you're wondering what cases can fit the X60, here is a nice list for you. Could save you a couple dollars.

OMG, skimp on the case! You could buy more hardware! And here is something for you:

As long as you are not going to run it 24/7, the fx 8350 maybe will be a better choice.
