City Counsels in some places are very transparent. I generally track trends in sale tax revenue but such things are never in real time. Traffic surveys ect…
Thats a good idea, I may check next time I am Des Moines for the counsels for the different regions in the city.
Shrugs ? Small town and I drink with the city counsel :)~ City Clerk ect… Business license renewals
Well Des Moines may be a small town compared to Chicago but its the capital city of Iowa. I work on the west side of town in a consulting business and am on the look out for some business closing down so I could pick up a high end business desk chair and other stuff.
lol… going macro to go micro…
well thats the end goal essentially, I want to find a business moving or closing down with high end executive stuff and I will be the guy on the front door with 50 in cash to take their stuff off their hands.
foreclosures/tax sales/estate sales
Government auctions?
I heard its possible to get some good stuff at University / college auctions.
Or just drive around businesses / schools on garbage collection day.
