Built a PC, a certain game keeps crashing (grey / yellow / orange screen with stripes)

I built the PC two days ago and I think it is a driver problem

During every match of league of legends at a random point both of my monitors turn a single colour, so far I've had orange, grey, and yellow. The left monitor (the one that the game is on) also gets stripes (sometimes vertical sometimes horizontal)

I thought uninstalling and reinstalling drivers might fix the problem but I have and AMD CPU and GPU and every guide I have seen is for intel CPU and AMD GPU.

Here are the parts:

CPU: AMD Phenom ii x4 965

GPU: AMD Sapphire 7870

MOBO: 970A-G46

I know it can't be overheating, I have a case with a ton of holes for air flow, a fan in the case and a hyper 212+ with 2 fans on it

also, I have played way more intensive games on it so I doubt it is having trouble with league of legends

maybe a bad gpu or use some temp monitoring software for your gpu to see if it's overheating, it could also be faulty?

I have played more intensive games then lol though without a problem (dayz with everything maxed, farcry 3 with everything maxed and a wii emulator playing SSBB with pretty high settings)

even with al this could overheating still be a problem?
