Building

I am building my rig very soon and i am stuck at a crossroads

I will be gaming at 1080p for now but may dabble into 1440p later

I am Playing games and Twitch streaming maybe get into youtube gameplay videos and video editing if i enjoy the streaming (hobby not a jobby)

where i am stuck is the age old question of

i5 4670k & GTX 780ti or i7 4770k & Gtx 780

i dont have budget to get the 4770k and the 780ti

the other parts are nailed down and i don't really need to shuffle them around

Heres where i am now i am a big Corsair, Nvidia and MSI fanboy and only have limited space so i am getting a micro ATX case and mobo

i5 and 780ti. If you're video editing for fun, you probably won't appreciate the extra CPU performance of the i7. The i5 is a very capable CPU. Though, the hyper threading could help with streaming. Consider AMD equivalents e.g the 8350. Unfortunately, AMD is not available in your desired mATX form factor.

I think you would be satisfied with the 780 at both 1080p and 1440p. The 780ti would be preferable at 1440p.

Additionally, there are a number of ways in which you could save money on your build. You could choose a lower watt PSU, for example. Your build should only require 500-550W at most.

Alternately, you could grab the AX760 PSU, at a similar price to the RM. It fits your colour scheme nicely, and it is still your preferred brand.

im looking to add a second GPU in the future and would prefer the larger PSU

760 would be sufficient for your build with the inclusion of a second GPU and other additions. Just a thought. I like to colour coordinate lol.

Just a thought: Wouldn't the i7's extra threads help with streaming?
