Building my first PC

Hello everyone I am new sorta to the pc gaming space and since im looking to massivly upgrade my lackluster a6-5400k apu based computer into a 1080p games destroy I will require all the help I can get. Firstly let me get something clear. I already own 2 500gb hardrives and 8 gigs of ram so I can save a few bucks using the parts I already have and I live in Europe so I use amazon.fr or amazon.de but if you find some good parts from good old USA that can be shipped in Europe make sure to link it. Without further waiting let me show you what I have created from my physcotic console gamer mind (Sorry about any typo)

GPU: 2 SAPPHIRE R9 290 4 gb Vapor-x running crossfire REASONS: these compare to r9 290x if overclocked and I want 2 of them so I can run witcher 3 60 fps 1080p Ultra and also any other demanding game coming out and the vapor-x are know for the there silence and air flow)

CPU: FX 8320 REASONS: It's basically a none factory overclocked 8350 and plus I am going to overclock so it measures up to the 8350 and I do moderate video editing so this is a pretty good cpu to do any light editing. I also wanted the 8 cores because games are starting to use more cores than quad so I really want to be decked out for the future sure people might recommend an i7 but it's to expensive for my budget right unless a great sale comes along for it

MOBO: Asus Sabertooth 990fx r2.0 REASONS: it's loaded with features which means I don't have to worry a whole lot about future upgrades and it has a bunch of usb 3.0 and usb 2.0 so it help if i want to edit

SSD: Samsung EVO 850 120 gb REASONS: I want to load games faster and applications and it's an ssd it kills any HDD you throw at it so it seemed logical ( I have the OS already installed in the 500gb HDD)

CASE: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 REASONS: it's Corsair so it's a realible brand and that's about im very open minded about cases so leave loads of suggestion

PSU: Corsair GS Series ATX 800W REASONS: same reasons as the case it's corsair but I think it might not be enough to power the entire build

HEATSINK: Seidon 120v Ver.2 REASONS: Very few air coolers can beat water coolers but im a bit skeptic about this one so please do recommend any cooler that is better

So this build costs about 1,276.36 EUROS which I think is a decent price remember to suggest parts and give your opinion.

UPDATE AFTER LOOKING AT ADVICE:

CPU: fx 8350 because it can be overclocked better than the 8320

GPU: JUST ONE R9 280 sapphire because i want to play games even though they can not go to ultra settings im waiting for 390 or 380 so make em good AMD

SSD: I got 500gb ssd to store a lot of my games and load them blazing fast

COOLER: Hyper 212 evo just because it's cheap and it's just a bit louder but i don't mind

CASE: im getting the define r5 because one that clean Scandinavian look and it's an awesome case with high air flow

total price: 935.92 euros

thanks everyone but this rig can change so leave suggestion please

I think it is fine. No real reason to ask for an opinion from us. Aside from a few that will attempt to convert you to Intel.

The only thing you may have to do is flash a new bios on the cards for them to work properly. Other than that, your build is golden.

Well.

I'd suggest you get a 280 right now, especially if you'll only be doing 1080p. Mainly because the 300 series is due pretty soon, as well as the 980 ti. The set up you're planning on is more for 4k gaming.

CPU, you might as well get the 8350, 8320s are just lower binned 8350s, on average an 8350 should overclock better.

SSD: If ya end up dropping your GPU budget a bit you could double up on your SSD storage to 240gb

CASE:HAF XB all day, best case ever.

PSU:I thought corsair mainly just rebranded things, otherwise whatever has a gold rating and is going to power your system is the one to shoot for, 800W might barely be enough for the system you got there if you plan to overclock

Cooling: The seidon 120 is only good if you want something quieter than air cooling, otherwise a hyper 212 evo is the standard.

I think you should look into the Define R5 and some of the Lian-Li cases, they're super clean and have a more profesional and calm aesthetic and are really quiet yet still perform well in the cooling department.

Getting a case with good filtering is nice too because you have to clean your GPU less often than I do running my case open :P

I agree with street guru on the GPUs . If you are new to pc gaming, you could save by using a single gpu for now and upgrade to crossfire in the future.

The larger SSD will give you some wiggle room too. The pagefile and hiberfile can be turned off, but if not will use a good chunk of space and a modded Skyrim can easily use up 30 to 40 GBs

@ Novasty

Bad Tom's Hardware! Bad!

Wait for the 3xx series - its just around the corner, price wars etc. Then grab a strong single gpu whether it be from nvidia or amd. Who knows amd's HBM could blow everything out of the water!
First PC & multi-gpu woes, yeah....... No thanks.
I'd be more inclined to grab a (any) i5 + h97 board over the 8320 as well.

... What?

Thanks and plus im a massive skyrim fan GO NIGHTINGALES so a bigger ssd could help

I know but it's just since games are going to use more3 cores a want a cpu that's future proof though i know that i5 are still great I still prefere amd but thnaks a lot for your great advice

But what i want to do is absouletly reck the witcher 3 60fps ultra 1080 though im going to follow your advice and get a 280 and then when the 390 or 380 or whatever it is im going to grab that thanks man

Tom's Hardware is constantly trying to convert people to Intel. I've got a gripe with it...

Ahh, I personally like intel and amd apus the same, but I like intel more than amd fx cpus. That iGPU fall back is so nice.

Good point, if you're running fx and the gpu goes down, you're down. If you don't have one, could be a good idea to find a cheap R7 or something similar for backup
