Building my first pc need help

Hi everyone this is my first time posting. I am going to build a PC on cyber Monday, and I'm going to use it for gaming as well for making music. My budget is $1200 and I have a Evga GTX 660 graphic card that I got as a gift.

Here the link of the parts that I found every interesting.

I'm trying to drop the price down a bit, hopefully you guys can help me.

Hy!

Nice build, but you could save a few bucks here and there. I do a lot of audio recording and editing, and, depending on the plug-ins you use and the DAW, you can get away with 8gigs of ram. You can also consider a 1TB HHD if you don't have a massive sound library. It Depends. Also, you can use a 500W PWS if you don't plan to upgrade your GPU soon.

Consider also using an I5 4670K, for gaming and audio editing will work more than fine and you can save a few bucks.

Finally, you might want to get a Noctua CPU cooler instead of the Corsair, especially if you value silence (I'm assuming you're going to record music or do critical listening in the same room...).

Have fun! :)

awesome thanks man appreciated

Good build but you can save some money and get nearly the same performance.

1. The i7 4790k is not necessary for what your going to be doing. Two other great options that will be more than enough are thee i5 4690k if your interested in over clocking at some point and the Xeon 1230v3 for its i7 like performance and hyperthreading but no overclocking.

2. Ram. 16gb of Corsair Vengeance is overkill and over priced. 8gb (2x4) of low cas GSkill 1600mhz  ram will easily do the trick

3. The H80i AIOC is not necessary either. Plus if your going to record it will become a problem. Check out Noctua coolers like the NH-U12S. These coolers are as good as water cooling and nearly silent.

4. The 750watt psu is overkill. Look for a nice 550-650watt @ 80+ Bronze or better.

Overall these four things should get you nearly the same performance for much less money.

for $1000 i can get you

Fractal Design Define R4

ASUS Sabertooth z87

Intel i7 4770K

Corsair HX 850Watt PSU

Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600mhz

Kingston v300 SSD 120GB

Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB

this originally has a 780TI superclocked inside and is on sale on my page for $1650 but without the graphics card i can give it to you for $1000 its brand new built and will be cheaper for you, the parts are better and faster as well.
