Building my first computer

So I have came up with a PC build with a budget of
$800. I have the parts list, and my buddy is gonna bring his DVD burner so I don't have one on the parts list. What do you guys think? (Do not reply to this post after January 30th because my order will be placed very soon, therefore I am posting on my blog and on the PC Gaming forum).

--LIST

NZXT Source 210 ATX Mid Tower

WD 1TB hard drive

Asus Strix 2GB video card

EVGA 600 B Pluse Bronze PSU

Intel Core i5-4690K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150 CPU

Thank you for your time!

I'm assuming your getting a 960 yes? I think you would be better off getting a cheaper, locked i5 and put that towards a 290(x)

If you haven't ordered the 960 yet I'd strongly recommend looking at the R9 280 or 280X. The 960 is a complete joke in my opinion (worse than a 760 in many areas), but the 280 or 280X is a very strong performer for the price.

GTX 960 performance will improve over time to make it a strong 1080p card, but I have to agree with the above posters, you are going to get much more performance out of the 280x. Sure, the 960 has some neat features, but are they worth it? Most likely not.

Modified build using AMD parts to keep it just under $800 and having all parts come from just 2 stores. Contrary to popular opinion, the FX 8350 wont make the 290x suck.
