Sorry to hijack,but how do you change the CAS timings in the BIOS? I've got that board with the 8350 as well but my ram is running at CAS 11. The kit says 9.What gives?
Go to bios > advanced > Ai Tweaker > Dram timing control. probably everything will set on auto you can set the right timings by hand, you have to look on the webpage from the manufacturer for the correct timings of your ram. probably 9-9-9-24. at 1.5V
I agree with this statement. 1600mhz w/ CAS of 9. If higher clocked memory is of a similar price, with a CAS of 10 or 11, I would be fine with that too.

Yea,both those items will work with your board. Fit the card into the PCI slot and use a SATA cable to connect the HDD.
How many fans does your case already have?If i recall correctly,the EVO has only 3 chassis fan headers and the usual CPU fan header.
You said 2.0,right? Doesn't need to be flashed over.Your 8 core will work right off the bat. Once you have finished your rig and have it up and running,use the motherboard CD to install the utilities and let the utilities do their thing.
