Building a PC for recording guitar and 720p gaming

A-10 5800k based system

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1mmJa   (Sorry for not typing the build)

Build comes to 480 thats with the OS and the mouse and keyboard (I over exceeded my £450 budget, but it was the best i could do)

My only concern is the motherboard -  Gigabyte GA-F2A85XM-D3H

The guitar is just going to be connected to the audio jack, so is the motherboard a good choice? (I heard that too much volume can damage the sound card?) no idea what that means though.

Thanks in advance guys,

will this might be out side what your thinking but if your going to record audio then the best thing to get for a small start studio is: Tascam DV-RA1000HD.

you can record 24bit 192khz audio straight to dvd and work it later on your pc. but if your looking to record a real guitar  then you should get an analog to digital converter.

your pc build looks fine.
