Hello, I do not have much money to work with. I am trying to build a gaming PC powerful for cheep. And I'd really like some opinions on this for a build.
AMD FX 6300 2.5Ghz
ASRock 970 Extreme4
Corsair Vengeance 8gb dual channel
OCZ Tech ZT Series 750 watt completely modular PSU
HIS IceQ Radeon HD 7870
Please help with opinions, past experience, issues, anything that would help me make a descision.
Thanks!!!
Overall a fairly solid balance to provide a solid gameplay experience. I would consider thought he M5A97R R2.0 The UEFI is superior especially in regards to control and usability aspects ( like fan control functionality ). Overall the quality of VRM components ( like fully molded inductors and 5K capacitors vs 2K capacitors ) along with the Digital PWM and great UEFI will also provide a really nice foundation for tweaking/performance tuning the board.
As for the memory nothing wrong with Vengeance kits just keep in mind you will need to enabled DOCP if you get ASUS it is great optiont hat will allow you to load a XMP profile so you can get the benefit of the frequnecy and timings that memory is rated for.
For the PSU you could actually drop down to a quality 500watt as the total load is going to be quite for this build. Of couse still maintain going with a quality vendor ( Antec, Corsair, Coolermaster etc )
I personally prefer the DCII series of GPUs as the combination of cooling performance and quiet operation is outstanding.
I would note you should make room in the budget for a consideration of an SSD it makes a big difference in the overall usage experience of the system.
Last thing is i would possibly consider an Intel option as well the performance per watt would be better helping also on power consumption and many applications and in some game engines you could have better performance. There are some good options ( like the 3350P which is only slightly more than the CPU you are currently planning ) You could also consider the 3240 which is price partiy.
Keep in mind the AMD CPU will allow for greater overclocking but that will require a better cooler ( a more expensive option as you will not be able to OC with the stock cooler ) as well as increase your total power consumption by at least another 20 to 40 watts. You end up of course paying for this monthly.
So keeping that in mindÂ
My vote would be the P8Z77-V LE PLUS and the 3240 if you are looking for a budget Intel option.
Hope this helps. Please enjoy the rest of your day.
Thank you a lot for ou consideration and responce to my post! I will be looking into the products you recomend and see if they fit my budget and performance requierments. I for got to say, I do multitask while gaming. Like internet, programs, movies. stuff like that. Not to the extreme though.
need a budget and county
