Building a nas server for the first time

Hi,
I’m hoping someone could have look at the build i am looking to replace my Qnapp nas.
My Qnapp nas has no expansion left and the price of 8 Bay QNAPP is out of price range.

I am hoping to get some help since i have never build a nas server and looking at hopefully getting something that is lowed powered.

Use of my NAS

  • Primary Plex server which i will need 4 transcoding on 2 - 4 streams
  • File server for backups for my hobies (music, photos and videos)

Drives i will be bringing across are 4 * 8 TB WD Red and i will be using temporary 2 * 3 TB WD red but these will be replaced by 10+ TB drives at a later stage.

I will be using freenas or unraid haven’t decided yet.
