Building a machine and need a motherboard recommendation

I am building a machine with a 4790K and wondering what people here would recommend. My only requirements other than compatibility, would be micro ATX, have Mini-DIN for a keyboard, and 4 RAM slots.

should have put usage of this machine. I do plan to OC and have been doing so since my socket a days. It will be used for gaming and work. It will only have a couple sata devices that won't be growing in number since I use a NAS for all my media and such. I will only ever use one video card. I don't plan to have any add-on cards. I will be using air cooling since the internal size constraints.

Asus makes some great boards, as well as ASrock or Gigabyte.  Do you have a need for more than a couple sata drives?  How many Video cards do you plan to use?  Are you planning on adding any hardware encoders or audio processors?  And most importantly, what are your plans for the use of this machine?

post edited and I plan to edit if more questions are asked.

What kind of "work"...just like office suites and things like that, or photo editing, video encoding?

Sorry for all the questions, but specificity is very important here...

Text documents, Emails, Video conferences, and remote sessions mostly. I use my server for virtual machines and many other things.

This is a pretty good board from what I am getting from your question, that I believe will meet all your needs, and isn't going absolutely crazy with unneeded "bling".  It has quality parts where they are important, good temp monitoring and fan controls which will be important in a small case where you are air cooling and going to overclock, and I believe you would be very happy with.

That one doesn't have Mini-Din, sorry, I missed that part, here is another that does, that is just as well made, with better sound, but may need a little more care on fan control.

how has MSI been in the quality control recently? BTW I corrected a typo. I am getting a 4790k not the 4690.

MSI aren't bad boards, I normally use them in lower end PCs though, that people aren't expecting high end performance.  They aren't great for overclocking, and aren't normally high on the features list, but if you just want a board that works, MSI is okay.

+1  great board .. good price

Which is totally strange due to the widespread use of MSI afterburner software.
