I'm building a pc for myself to play some of the newest and to be released games:
BF3, BF4, Far Cry 3, GTA5 and The Witcher 3.
Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ookt
I didn't include the memory since I couldnt find it in the list. But the one I'll be getting is Kingston HyperX 16gb 1600Mhz CL9. (4x4GB 1.65V KHX1600C9D3K4/16GX)
I'm aiming at getting a powerful pc that I will be using for 2-3 years. Probably going to add another 7970ghz when I can't run games on ultra anymore.
What do you guys think, will this build be a good investment (around 1600€ in my country)?
For future proofing it's probably a better idea to get an FX8350 right now. This is coming from the owner of pretty much only Intel CPU's. It has performance that beats i7's in some cases for cheaper than an i5, plus it'll only get better with more programs optimizing for heavy multithreading.
Here is my small input - I think getting an nvidia card maybe a gtx 680 ftw or classified version will work seamlessly in battlefield and the other games mentioned
I mean invest in a quality graphics card either amd or nvidia and a couple of years later either upgrade the card or go dual sli or crossfire hope this helps
I have never had an AMD cpu so I have my doubts but it looks like I'll have to reconsider :)
KnightNight you picked the Sapphire 7970ghz instead of Gigabyte, whats your reasoning behind this? I had picked gigabyte for its superior? cooling. Otherwise I agree on that build being better than mine. Only problem is the parts availability in here in Finland..
Edit. AsRock 990FX Extreme9 isnt sold here, would Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 be a good replacement?
