im looking into building a PC for myself I'll mostly play games on it with some heavy modding I was thinking budget of 500$ or so if not I was looking into buying a gaming laptop it's An MSI Gp60 826
Do you already have a monitor and peripherals in addition to headphones/speakers?
You should also link the laptop you're planning to buy
You will get more bang-for-your-buck if you build the computer yourself. Also, i couldn't find an 826. i found an 825, and it is $1,000.
If you have the money for a $1,000 laptop, why is your PC build budget only $500?
It is the 825 that I was looking at For the laptop the budget for my PC is 500 since I'm getting the laptop under credit that's what my deposit would be also I'm willing to pay more for the portability as well
If you're going to get a laptop for gaming you have to really go big to make it last, otherwise get a desktop, but why couldn't you just put the desktop PC under credit as well? is your credit limit 1k?
Something in the 2 thousand dollar range, MSI stealth with a 970m at 6gbs of VRAM
this is the laptop I was I looking at yeah my limit is 1,000

And do you need a monitor/keyboard/mouse ect?
Honestly I'd almost suggest an alienware laptop, they have beefy cooling and are halfway decent desktop replacements, and if your credit is good they have financing
If I built my pc I wouldn't need the monitor or keyboard already have it, I'll look into the Alienware as well but what about as far as the laptop I linked?
It's only got a 950M it's not going to last too long, so gimme a second then
Alright,I'm really new to the pc world I'm a console gamer so I'm pretty lost just looking to come over to pc so I appreciate the help
Seems you wanted something portable, so I built a super tiny PC in the coolermaster elite 110, also consider swapping the hard drive for a 480gb SSD, makes ITX builds much easier

But really it's up to you, the base 17" alienware isn't too bad a machine for what it is, don't go for anything else really though, for some reason the 15" comes with a 965M and i5 at the same price
Orrr, a crazy ish solution, get the 13" alienware, and later on get the graphics amplifier, I think it works with the 13" one anyways
Yeah it seems like I'm just better of building a pc myself if I did that I would have to limit myself from around 500-600
Well there's a micro ATX build at 600 with an 860K+290

You could also go with an APU ITX system and just throw in a dedicated GPU later
What display do you currently use?
Not portable though.
At that budget I'd rather go i3+380 and then have some better upgrade options later down the line for the CPU.

(went with a 1x8GB stick which is a bit more expensive than that in your build, but there's only two DIMM slots on that mobo, want to leave one for some extra RAM if need be).
I NEVER recommend laptops, unless you are a student or traveling business-person who NEEDS the portability.
Could you use Credit on Amazon? If so, i can put together a decent $900 build for you. Contains an Intel i5, SSD and HDD, a GTX 970 with Metal Gear Solid V, and even includes an OS (i just chose Windows 8.1)
Cheaper RAM, SSDs, deals on that HDD and good PSUs are available, the 390 for a touch more that's neck and neck in just DX11 with the 970 (no idea how DX12 will turn out when it's mainstream but it's looking good) and better case is available (silencio 352) for like $10 more. Oh, and none of the prices you supplied are from amazon either.
If you've $1000 credit for the laptop and you can use it on amazon, and need an OS, as Weston suggested, this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RTp6t6
All the prices i supplied are from Amazon though <.<
Ah, lol, so they are. I must dun fukt up going to your link, then going to edit it and not realizing the suppliers changed.
Bit annoying partpicker does that when you edit a part list.
Yeah, i wish PCPartpicker had some other features. like small thumbnails. would be great, especially for case browsing.
