Building a editing, capture, gaming pc

Hey! so i would like to get some help in this build, cause i'm not rly sure what to pick... And for the starters, yes i have watched the tek syndicates "build an editing, gaming, capture pc" video but still want some more information or example builds. i have about 3200 dollars to use (i live in Europe, it's about 2400€)This includes a display also! it's alot of money and it's just my TOTALLY MAX budget, but i don't have to use that much and the less the better, but i still want to buy components that are very good quality and can handle about 3 to 4 years.

I would be using this first mostly to gaming and learning to use 3D modelling softwares, photoshop etc. cause im starting studying in a school about making games and it includes a lot of 3D modelling etc. well you get the point. but i would also like to record my gameplay, edit it and upload it to youtube one day (maybe) :) but mainly now im a gamer, i play ALOT every day and the recording and editing stuff is to make it even more enjoyable:) im pretty confusing when i get my "writing vein" openx_DDD sorry about that and my bad englishxdddd But ye rly want to learn to edit,photoshop,3d modelling etc:) i know pretty much about them cause i just finished school about IT and been researching alot.

But ye i don't want to buy overkill pc either i don't want to buy too powerless one. what kind of pc would you think is enough?

AND!!! is LGA2011 even worth to buy anymore???

So let's get to the example builds i have made up:

                               LGA1150

Processor:              i7 4770K

Motherboard:         Asus maximus VI formula or some Z97 motherboard

Powersupply:         Corsair AX 860i

HDD and SSD:       Western Digital 2000GB (black) and 250GB Samsung 840 SSD

Graphics card:        GTX 770, GTX 780 or GTX 780Ti

Case:                      Corsair 750D (maybe)

CPU cooling:          Corsair H100i

RAM:                      4 x 4gb =16Gb of 1866Mhz DDR3 (Haven't decided what brand yet...)

                                LGA2011

Processor:               i7 4930K

Motherboard:           Dunno rly... have been thinking about Asus Rampage IV Black edition

Every other part about the same as LGA1150 build.

These are just examples, and i would like to get oppinion about them. Also whole new buidls are welcome!

Thanks for the answers already! i appreaciate the help!:D

The 2011 build is probably possible within your budget, but it will indeed be a lot more expensive than a LGA1150 build.  Since it seems that you won't be doing much video editing, I would think that the i7-4770k would work just fine for you.

You also don't really need that strong of a motherboard, unless you want to do some extreme overclocking.

(hardware only, tower only, using german pcpartpicker as a price reference)

850w power supply is if you want to go SLI.  The MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming has a very good power delivery system, and should be able to handle some pretty good overclocks.  The Noctua NH-D14 is a lot quieter than the H100i, and performs only a little bit worse.  You could also try a pair of R9 290s for an insane amount of gaming performance.  Also, do your programs prefer CUDA or OpenCL acceleration?

For the monitor, you can consider picking up a Korean 27" 1440p IPS display.

Thank you for your reply!:D

I don't know alot about video editing but the computer should be future proof for that part that i can easily do it if it catches me in it:D Cause i am going to learn videoediting:) But you think that LGA 2011 would be total overkill:_D? Yes i know that it would be quite expensive:_D and the LGA1150 motherboard was for the future custom watercooling loop when i could manage to do it:D and i see the overclocking possibilty quite needed cause i have overclocked my "old" pc and i like to tune the computer the best i can:D  and the SLI possibilty is in the future:D when the pc needs the power up:D and for the cpu cooler:D i can handdle a little mroe noise for the looks:) and i know how to make H100i silence as possible:D Programs need Cuda acceleration mainly.

Do you think that Z97 motherboards are not worth?:D Cause you didn't mention about them:D

The two extra cores on the 4930k will help quite a bit with video rendering.  It looks like you want to really push the limits on this computer.  2011 may or may not be overkill, depending on how far you get into recording and editing videos.

For the CPU cooler, since you are considering doing a custom loop in the future, look at the Cooler Master Glacier 240L.  If you ever go full custom watercooling, you can incorperate the 240L into your custom loop, since it was designed to have that capability.

I would pick Z97 boards, but the selection is quite few in Europe at the moment.

And for the display i would prefer non korean monitor just cause heard that the quality jumps around.... and i think that the warranty isn't easy to handle if there even is onexDDD so i prefer some good asus, samsung etc display with that resolution:)

Unfortunately the displays by larger, more well known brands are indeed a bit more expensive, and often by 2x.  I am unfortunately lacking a little bit in the monitor space.  Just try to get a nice IPS display with ~5ms of latency.  Accurate color would help a lot too.

mmm that's true.... but im going to order most of these parts from germany and they maybe have more of those when im gonna order the parts about 1-2 month from now. We have here in Finland asus asbertooth mark 1,2 and asus ranger, hero, gene, some gigabyte z97 mb's, msi power max mb's etc.

ok, i were thinking about Asus 27" PB278q or the upcoming asus Swift rog PG278Q or something like that:D

That's actually not a bad selection.  Most of the motherboards in that list should work perfectly fine.

Those both sound like good monitors.  I think the Asus Swift ROG monitor that's coming out with G-Sync will be a TN display.  TN lacks a lot of color depth and viewing angles that an IPS display has.

But it is supposed to be HIGH-END TN display like we have never seen before;)))) and it has 120Hz+ 1Ms response time etc :pppppp but i still don't know is it even compareable with the IPS sidplay:DDD

TN is still TN.  Even good TN panels lack the color spectrum that an IPS can display.  I suppose it's just a matter of time before we find out how good that G-Sync panel really is.

Yes:D well it should be released before i can get the parts together:D But still thank you for your opinion and replies:D always helps to hear different opinions:)

i tought about the glacer 240L but i can't find a retailer in here... nor did i find one from germany:/

Hi I'm from finland too. Where are you gona purchase the parts, i could help you :)

Hoocee:DDD from which part of finland:D (let's keep this english cause the way this "thread" started from) I'm From Tampere:D and im going to buy the parts mostly from mindfactory.de and some things for the build from maybe jimms or verkkokauppa:D

Jyväskylä :D Can you say what specific parts are you going to buy and where?

Here would be my 2 suggestions from Jimms.fi

LGA 1150 http://gyazo.com/ed1833ad5c020cfa7396d4f658f465f4

LGA 2011 http://gyazo.com/593a605c5cbd5e0b97c5ca0d8691e6ba

What do you think? :)
