I'm going to get 2 7970's I'm stuck between gigbyte and XFX I heard that they got gigabye to 1500hz or what ever it's called but the XFX has a lifetime warranty and is it going to be stable???

I really need your help people please it's my first build I'm researching everyday lol

good build, go with the gigabyte 7970's. consider a slightly better ssd?

tom

For the graphics cards, I would go with the lifetime warrenty. For the SSD, The crucial M4 series are a good mainstream SSD. Very reliable indeed. Personal experiance with one of my clients.

Edit: PC Part Picker will also make a good tool to use

will 2 gigabyte or xfx's 7970's fit in a nzxt phantom case the mothboard is going to be a sabertooth and the power supply is going to be a Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1050W

will 2 gigabyte or xfx's 7970's fit in a nzxt phantom case the mothboard is going to be a sabertooth and the power supply is going to be a Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1050W

umm... the h100 comes with 2 (loud) fans. also, it uses 120mm fans, not 200mm.

gigabyte doesn't make very good graphics cards. XFX does not have a lifetime warranty anymore, but it's not bad in any case. I don't think any current GPU will get to 1.5 ghz w/o liquid cooling, and even then, I really don't think it's possible. take a look at ASUS cards and the MSI lightning card, both are widely known for reliability and overclockability.

th 200mm fan is for the top of the phantom and will 2 7970's fit in there?

the thing about the h100 is that you can get a block in the middle of the 2 200mm fans and the put screws throught the h100, the block and into the 120m hloes that are there and thus the 200mm act like pull fan

yes they will fit.
