Building a computer for my friend

Hey, i wanted to ask you is the built i am recommending any good, or should i change anything

case: bitfenix comrade white/blue

mobo: MSI z97 gaming 3

cpu: intel i5 4670k

RAM: 8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600MHZ (2x4GB kit)

Crucial MX100 128GB SSD

1TB WD black(dont remember model number)

PSU: Corsair CX600m

GPU: Asus R9 280 Direct CU 2 Top

Cooler: Corsair h801

I would recommend you grab a 4690K

The initial Has well release had thermal issues also you will be fine with a WD Blue drive to save a bit of money.

Also might want to grab a different vendor for the graphics cards. The DCUII was made for nVidia graphics cards.

Other than that build looks balanced.

Edit:

If the Bitfenix doent have a window I would suggest a Noctua NH-D14 as the cooling is compariable to the H100 and is a little cheaper.

+1 to all of this.

Consider the Hyper 212 Plus/Evo if you're on a budget, and if the case fits it.  It'll perform the same as a H80i, but is much cheaper.

what is wrong with the fact that the DCUIITOP cooler was made for Nvidia cards? i have one in my own system right now and it is perfect

The Asus DCUII don't cool very well on the AMD side of things.  Most models only contact the GPU die, and provide little to no cooling for the other components such as the VRMs and memory chips.  I would go with a different manufacturer, such as Sapphire.

wasn't the main issue with the direct cu II from asus only with the 290 line up not the 280x
