Okay so I am rebuilding my suite of tools for repairing Windows systems, I have Ultimate boot CD, but I need a live CD that is designed specifically for virus removal, what would you suggest? I would prefer ClamAV but is there a better live AV around?
Also what other software tools do you carry around when repairing PCs?
I only have one rule when fixing windows boxes.
If it takes longer than a reinstall to fix the machine then guess what - I reinstall windows.
As far as live CD's go I just use whatever I have laying around. I Haven't really needed to remove virri for a long time as I just usually reinstall windows as it's quicker. Another reason is you can never be 100% certain you've removed everything on a windows machine unless you spend hours on it monitoring registry changes/outgoings etc.
Let's face it, we have better things to do than fix windows machines, right?
