Building 1st pc

So I am building a pc and here is my build so far intel i5 4690k, gigabyte gtx 970, samsung 850 evo ssd 250 gb.

I need help deciding on a motherboard and ram? For ram i was thinking some type of corsair ram and a motherboard I was thinking about a z97 board.. My budget for a mobo is at max $300 but preferably under $200 and for ram my budget is under $200. Thks for the help :).

Also I forgot to mention that I will mainly be gaming on this pc.

I like the ram choice but im not 100% sure about the board... but thks for the suggestion

What are you looking for in the motherboard?

I want something that can overclock well, has a good bios and is good quality and is good for gaming. so pretty much a good motherboard all around.

Here. Complete Build.

Intel i5-4690k

Noctua Cooler (Great will allow for crazy OCs and is nice and quiet)

Asus Z97-A. Everything you need nothing you don't. Good UEFI and Overclocks very well

Mushkin Redline RAM 8GB (2X4GB). Corsair RAM is shit. It isn't bad because it dies or preforms poorly it is shit because it is too expensive. Their RAM is no better than any other manufacturer. Just stupidly overpriced. Also, speed doesn't matter. You won't notice any performance difference in game between 1333Mhz and 2400Mhz. You're just spending more money for a bigger number. You also don't need 16GB. If you're just gaming, browsing, or doing light productivity and light video editing 8GB is plenty.

Went with a 120GB 840 Evo. It is nearly the same speed as the 850 Pro and will perform very well. You also don't need, IMO, that much space. It is just for the OS and a few programs and drivers.

You will want the 1TB WD Blue drive I added for storage and games.

I went with an EVGA 970 ACX 2.0. I like them better than the Windforce. They are quieter.

Went with the Define R4. It is a nice case, plenty of expansion and good build quality. It is also very quiet but still has decent airflow. I could have gotten the Define R5. It is newer but $30 more and basically identical.

Corsair 600W PSU. Decent PSU for a good price. Plenty of power.

The asus z97-a looks like a decent board but i havent seen many people recommend it, so is there any other boards that you would recommend that are under $200

Lots of people recommend it.... I would recommend it. I have and others have multiple times. It is a very good motherboard at a reasonable price.
