Build Your Own: $275 Media Center PC

There is a lot of skill that needs to be improved. Such as not turning all the time in my chair LOL. Still at the Amature level. Here are the Specs:

  • CPU: AMD A4-3300 2.5Ghz APU
  • Ram: Team Elite 4GB Dual Channel Kit
  • HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F4 HD322GJ/U 320GB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
  • ODD: Samsung SH-224BB Internal DVD Burner
  • $276 Shipped

This PC is not Intended for Gaming

not bad but you could do significantly better with a trinity processor, that brings the total to $320 though

Ill keep that in mind for next month. This is only a basic media center pc, not made for gaming period

I'm guessing this is the RAM you're using (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820313119). I would http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148559 Since the GPU on the APU runs off your RAM speed. So the faster the RAM speed the better it will run. That's the only real flaw I see. Low ram speed isn't a good idea for a APU.

True on that. Reason why I went with the lower speeds is to keep the cost down. 

It's like less than five dollars. I'd go for it
