Build Upgrade Help

Hello,

I am going to upgrade my computer soon, these are my current specs:

i5 3570k

Sapphire HD 7950 Flex OC edition 3gb

8GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz

Corsair CX600

500GB HDD

For the upgrade I want to get better graphics performance and more storage, so I will be purchasing a second 7950 and a 1TB HDD. My question is will the CX600 power supply have enough wattage to power this crossfire set-up or will I need to also buy a higher wattage power supply, a CX750 for example?

Any help will be appreciated.

It will do it but I would be concerned. I would spend some money on a 750 just to be completely safe.

Cool thing you mentioned your budget, so we dont have to break our heads figuring out how much money you are willing to spend...

CX series is pure garbage btw...

Bassically I don't want to spend money I don't have to, who would? If the CX600 will do the job why buy a different one?

And the power supply has work great for me, I've used a CX430 as well as the 600w version and IMO they're good, reliable, budget power supplies.

That cx600 doesnt even provide 500w of real power on the +12v rail, specs of cx750 are better, but if you want quality psu from Corsair you want HX series. Supplying power for 1 high end gpu is one thing for a budget psu, but 2 gpu's is a totally different matter
