Build Opinions

Hello, I'am looking to build a new pc and the build I have come up with is a little expensive for my wallet. I would greatly apprieciate it if someone would help me find cheaper alternatives for the parts that are over the top such as my video card.

    Thanks

downgrade the velociraptor to a seagate barracuda and add an ssd

I'm with Brad, Velociraptors are more for high end workstations than anything else. Not desktop use. An SSD will be faster and even with a barracuda it'll be cheaper. Just get the Kingston HyperX 3k or the Adata SX900. Or if you want to go all out you can buy one of the new Samsung 840 SSDs and a 1 TB Caviar Black from WD. It's all about what you want(and what you can afford)

what do you plan on doing with your pc, cant really tell you what to cut unless we know the purpose of the machine

This rig will be used for running the latest games and some video/picture editing on the side.
