Hi guys, I need your professional help building a PC. Most of my work is around sound editing, I need a pc with great sound and very fast capabilities (Editing, exporting, multiple programs etc...)
I was thinking about CPU: i5-3570K (using the HD4000) Motherboard: ASRock H77M (good enough?) Sound: Xonar Essence STX Memory: G.Skill DDR3 F3 12800CL8D 8GB Storage: Crucial M4 256GB PSU: whatever 400w (enough?) What do you guys think?
its a bit over the 700 mark but it is ideal for what you want.
the ram is cas 7 and it's 16gb which your gonna need.
the cheapy gpu is so you RAM is not being borrowed for graphics
and the cooler is so you can wack a comftable 4ghz oc on your cpu.
cpu and ram are a must really.
also do you plan on using any recording equipment as that will require a industrial sound card solution ideally, but you will still have limited recording ability with the xonar. it also depends on what software you use with it aswell. to be honest a fully fledged and flexible audio edditing rig is not cheap, this is pretty much a bare bones config
yes it will, it should get away with the 4ghz oc, but i would strongly recomend the z77 varient of the the micro-atx form factor much better native support all round, and or take a look at what cases that take your fancy and check the formfactor compatibility, as a bigger mobo is generally better. if you like put up the cases your looking at and were comb em over with ya. also as slimm said what software you plan on using mate?
seasonic are a good all round brand, i suggested a seasonic anyway and its bronze rated, it may not be the specific series YOU prefer but that really is in material. a higher energy efficient rated psu would be nice but it's op that got to dish out the cash, and this is targeted at unholy.octupus aswell it's not just a "whatever" PSU
the z77 board i refrenced will do the job, it's also the cheapest z77. (still a better performer than the other sockets) but asus, gigabyte, msi, and even some of the higer range asrock boards are good.
lol that is that the micro atx varient of the msi board series i suggested, yeah that should do ya fine. as long as you dont mind coughing up those few extra dimes for it.
as for your cases. i would take a look at silverstone, coolermaster and fractal impaticular. as they do some of the best mini itx/cube cases about, like the haf xb, the define mini, and the fortress all in brand suggested order.
