Build a Gaming Rig

Hello there folks,

I'm looking to upgrade my PC and at the moment my build is 6 years old and has a AMD anthlon 64 X2 4000 CPU, i can barley play any games without massive amounts of lag. I would really like to upgrade and i have a budget of around 1400-1500 dollars. I would like this build to be able to last a couple years with minor upgrades along the way to things such as RAM, HDD and SSD storage devices, i would also like 2 way SLI or Crossfire X configuration for my GPU. I would like to be playing most games on ultra/high settings, in addition to playing games i would probably be recording for youtube, so this rig would have to be able to render and do video editing as well as gaming . This would be my first build that i have completed myself. So if its possible for all you wonderful people out there to give me some ideas on a good build that is between 1400-1500 dollars it would be great.

Thanks everybody

have this build left over from another one http://pcpartpicker.com/p/UngA

fits your budget, and i would assume you could drop the monitor to save money (same with the cpu cooler)

you can do cfx later on down the road since its one 7970 and not 2 7870s, so similar performance, but better upgradeability.

and the 8350 will handle your video editing just fine

Thanks for that

alright man, so here is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Uq8a. I've give you 2x 660ti because u ask for it,  660ti is a beast card.

Good Luck!
