If I am typing a doc here and posting links or something it won't keep the spacing. It just eats the line's empty space above the paste.

This is in both chrome and vivaldi. I have some updates that need to install but they have nothing to do with text stuff. I dunno, just found it lol.
hmm. moved it to bug report catagory for now. maybe @wendell has a clue why this happens
maybe try firefox since vivaldi is based off chrome

definitely a chrome issue since the same thing happens to me on chrome. but not firefox.

Since it's probably a bug in the forum software itself, maybe you should report it to them as well. It's an open source project, so they'll be happy to hear the feedback.

It might be worth reporting to discourse, but this doesnt happen for me. (Chrome on Linux) It might be something to do with the way OSX is handling it rather than discourse..
