After logging in at the main site and switching to the forum the "log in" button is showing and I am not logged in. But after clicking the button the forum refreshes and my session from the main site is accepted an I am loged into the forum.
Is that on purpose? or a flaw?
Does it do it in incognito mode? There was an update on the forum as well as a recent incident and as such cookes are invalidated, that may be causing your login issue.
You might need to clear your cookies to log into the forum/
I was having this trouble yesterday, although every time I clicked on 'log on' it would refresh the page (both main and forum) and fail to present me with the actual log on page. After removing the cookies the problem was gone =]
I had the same problem, but it seams solved now.

No it is not incognito mode
I delete cookies after browser sessions closed; and clear the cache automatically;
The mainpage isn't refreshing and I am logged in on it; only the forum refreshes when I click onto "log in" and than I am loged in.
Occured just now again befor I wrote this post.
Its not a problem for me, but thought it might be good to know .. as it seems its not the desired behavior.
