Hey guys,
I am using This PC for like 5 years
And i finaly want to upgrade it
Idk if its still possible on ddr2 but..
PC specs:
ASRock G41-M/S
2gb ddr2 stick running on 667Mhz
CPU: Core 2 duo E5700 OC to 3.6GHz
GPU: None.. i had gt210 but its broken
PSU: 330W...original PSU LOL
Things i want to upgrade:
I want to start working on my youtube channel (recording gameplay)
Also im good in drawing stuff and im gona buy Wacom Intuos5 (tablet)
Games: The games i like to play are : Minecraft, Battlefield 2,(cant run 3),Also i would love to run some of the newest games , not on ultra doh..
So i need good graphics card (in Europe, cos im from Bulgaria)
4gb ram?
And new PSU i guess my budget for the gpu is 150euro
PSU+RAM is around 80euro.
Please tell me what parts would you but to upgrade that pc! THANKS!
I would most definately upgrade the GPU... The onboard gpu's intel has today are okay, but for gaming they still suck. And you are using pre-core i onboard gpu, which sucks even more. Since you want to game you definately will see benifit in upgrading.
Also a ram upgrade will be nice... do you have a slot free on the mobo for ram?
I would go with Be quiet! Pure Power L8 430W CM, a MSI R7790-1GD5/OC (good review on pcper) and whatever ram you can get with the same specs as the one you currently have...
Hmmmm, tbh the system is not really worth upgrading. It will cost quite a bit to get very little gain. (Due to the older system architecture) Also there is concern with any good GPU bottlenecking on the CPU.
Not to sound harsh, but even with upgrades that system isn't really capable of game play footage capture. (without either horrible performance or low GFX)
You state that you have around 220euro for the PSU and RAM. So instead consider this:

Okay I know its an APU system, however, upgrade to a faster quad core with Radeon HD 8670D Graphics, a new mobo and 4GB of 1866MHz RAM. The mobo will also allow you to add another 4GB further down the line.
You wont need a new PSU as you current one will provide enough Wattage.
Okay the GPU is not as good as a dedicated GPU like the 7790 that imadman suggests, however there is no risk of it bottlenecking and minimal risk of it bottlenecking a dedicated GPU later on.
That config is based off of current exchange rates (09.07.13 with 1GBP=1.1629 EUR)
hmm... I dunno, I'd stay dedicated gpu ;)
I would too, however the current system spec and budget doesn't exactly allow for anything powerful.
For such a low budget, I'd sugest a LC Power PSU. My brother has my old one that I bought in 2009 and no problems since then. GPU - the cheapest radeon 7770, and try to get some second hand ram (maybe a little faster than yours).
Well if you plan on using this pc for a few more years you need 4gb ram a psu 7770 or 7850. . c2d @3.6GHZ is not that bad you can play most games on medium and high settings. i would rock that c2d until you can afford a new cpu motherboard ram because right now your weakest link is your gpu.
4GB of DDR3 1866 MHz in single channel on an APU? I don't think so dude, his FPS would be around 20 on low settings with 720p with only single channel bandwidth.
grab another 2GB stick for dual channel and a new GPU
