I know that headsets are all the rage today. But I have a pair of speakers that I prefer over any headset, and I want to get a cheap mic to go with them. has anyone got any ideas? I'm only doing regular stuff, skype, mumble etc.
Cheers I.

Or really any cheap mike recommendations at all...?
I have been thinking about ditching my headset as well since i am mostly using my 5.1 system..I am tired of wearing my headset as a choker for a mic..I think I am going to go cheap and try this..

Edit: and if it is not that great, oh well only 6$ and it can be an emergency back up..I have backup keyboards and mice and backups for backups..But not for mics..Yet
How about this?
How "budget" are we talking?
The Blue Snowball (non iCE version) is a really good budget mic.
Yeah... Maybe not the blue snowball, I literally spent half of my disposable income for the financial year on my rig. And my gf's got expensive tastes. I don't think I can afford any more than £25 really :/. The pc world mike looks good though. As long as it's compatible with my sound card (Acer Xonar thingymajigy) then all should be well. Thx
Well I can personally vouch for this. It is slightly over £25, costs £32.61.

Either Samson Go-Mic or the Blue Snowball, both are amazing!
