Budget laptop capable of light gaming?

I recently got a job that will require me to travel a great deal. I will need to purchase a new laptop so I can complete my online classes while I am away from home. Since I will be traveling, I will not be able to game on my PC. Does anyone have any suggestions on a laptop for around $600 dollars that will be able to do some gaming while I am on the road, like L4D2 and some games on low settings?

lenovo g505s might be a good option

Thanks for the suggestion. Does anyone else have a recommendation?

This ASUS might be good for you.

Either that or the Lenovo G505 like the previous poster suggested.

At a 600 dollar price point you aren't going to get cream of the crop options for portable gaming. Then again i'm extremely biased against laptops in the first place.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm not looking to game on high,  I have my desktop for that. This is to hold me over on long trips and get school work done.

I like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Satellite-S55D-A5366-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00F9VPFG4/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1389238920&sr=1-2&keywords=laptop

The APU laptops are great for gaming but lack in everyother category.

The i3 laptops are a little behind the APU's but are better for productivity and gaming.

I also think the intel laptops stay considerably cooler.

For those reasons above I would get the ASUS list above.

The toshiba is also a great choice.

I myself prefer intel.

What I meant to say was APU's for strictly gaming and i3 for a little bit of both but better for productivity over the APU.

well, my gf has the g505 and i know that she can play l4d2 at a very decent fps, she also says its just generally really quick
