Budget Gaming Rig

Hello, I am looking to build a pretty good gaming rig that can run games such as Metro 2033, BF3, Minecraft, etc at the highest setting possible and still get good frame rates that don't affect gameplay. Also so that I can record the gameplay smoothly. Also it would be the first time building one.

The budget is 1000 dollars. Less the better. Hard to say that is enough cause I don't know much about building gaming rigs.

The only thing I would mainly want is Intel Core i5-3570k Ivy Bridge.

As for the case is Corsair Vengeance C70.

Not really necessary if someone can help build a cheaper and more efficent one. Still the the intel core... Hm... I feel like I am asking a lot... Or saying a lot.

Key board, mouse, and monitor are unnecessary.

well, lets start first off for a budget of $1000 the Corsair Vengeance C70 case is too much. I'd much more recomend this case it is the king of budget cases. but if u want something a little more high end and maybe with handles simular to the Corsair Vengeance C70, try this.

Aside from that here is the rest of the build i would recomend:

Cpu: Intel core i5-3570k

Cpu Cooler: Noctua NH-D14

Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G41

RAM: Pareema 8GB (2 x 4GB)

GPU: Radeon 7950

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB

SSD: Mushkin 120GB

Optical Drive (optional): sony

or you could go with amd. lotsa futre upgrading possible. get an 8-core 8350 for $40 less than the 3570k. amd chipset mobos are alot cheaper for many of the same features. i reccoment the asrock pro4 990fx chipset. take the money you saved with that, and get the gigabyte 7970ghz ed

Yeah the case is a lot. But not really nesscary but thanks! I will look into this a bit.

As much of the last part sounds good. I am not much of an AMD person. Sadly I know the graphics card is radeon but processor wise not so much. I hear things. Unspeakable things.

why you no 2500k and z68 and save some money!? performance diffrence is 1/2% and 2500k runs cooler.

This is what I would get:

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128544

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB @1600mhz - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345

GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150605

SSD: 64GB Crucial M4 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148441

HDD: 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339

Case: Cooler Master 690 II - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119216

PSU: XFX Core Edition PRO550W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master TPC 812 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103176

If I were you, I would use that SSD as a cache for your hard drive, so it can speed up your most used programs. The graphics card should be able to max out most games, and the case is a very formiddable mid tower that can support over 10 fans if I remember correctly. The CPU cooler will allow you to do some pretty high overclocking as well. Overall, this would be a very well rounded build for around $1,010.
