Budget Editing PC, PLZ HELP!

I'm in much help with building a new budget PC, I'm looking to stay in the $1000-$1200 (thats with peripherals). I've tried my best to build on a budget but it just doesn't work. This would aslo be my first build so I'm was looking for a motherboard with an updated or can i say "more up-to-date" BIOS. This will also be needed to play some powerful games so a great graphics card would be nice. I also don't plan on updating my PC for a while (1-2 years) so hopeful that will help you help me. I will be running Adobe Premiere Pro and maybe some Photoshop. Any and all advice would help.

Do you need any peripherals, or an OS ?

EDIT: just saw you need peripherals too. Mouse and / or keyboard and / or monitor ?

You will be hard pressed to find a build that is tougher than this. (I would call this a 5+ year rig)

Total ......... $1132.00

  • If you need every thing  ...
  •  OS - keyboard - mouse - monitors and such ...
  • we would have to water this down quite a bit.
  •  But it should be do-able .

My take on it

  • HDD - WD Caviar Blue 1TB
  • Optical drive - LG Blu-Ray writer
  • PSU - Corsair CX600m semi modular

Well yes, make sure we add the OS, monitor, keyboard, and mouse to it... But I am loving these builds, their awesome

Yep, we do need to water this down... though may I say, awesome build, but question, don't nvidia GPUs have more cuda cores, you know for Adobe....

Small boo boo with those two coolers.

More cores != better when comparing completely different GPU architectures.

Adobe has worked in pretty good OpenCL acceleration now, making CUDA not as amazing as it once was.

Xeon E3-1230 V3 (Didn't go with the E3-1231 V3 in case of UEFI compatibility issues)

16GB of RAM

R9 280

Periphs included

$1,120

buy a cheap $20 or less keyboard/mouse combo by Logitec. That will more than tide you over until you get fancy with peripherals. Spend your money on cpu/gpu and other key components.

Be sure to check what will benefit you most, CUDA (nvidia) or OpenCL (AMD). The latest Adobe Premiere and Photoshop support both CUDA and OpenCL hardware acceleration. I don't know which one is faster / more efficient though.

(Peripherals are a matter of prefference. I went with the reasonably priced well rated ones)

Or as Relinquis said, go with a cheap keyboard and mouse combo and get some more RAM.

very capable rigs But a little short on ram

  • Op should try the local thrift store like Goodwill or Value Village and get ...

  1. USB keyboard (I like the Dell keyboards with multimedia controls $5 )
  2. optical mouse ( Logitech or Microsoft optical USB mouse  $5 )
  3. second monitor (will help with productivity) I got a 22" LG for $20
  4. third monitor?
  5. speakers?

Dang gotta give it to the tek syndicate support. YOU GUYS ROCK
