Budget build

I'm building a budget PC, but not really sure which parts to buy. Also not sure whether I should roll with intel or AMD, and Nvidia or ATI. My budget is 830€-ish.

My intel option: http://www.alternate.nl/html/configurator/builder/structure/sendLoad.html?id=133241&kind=pcBuilder

AMD option: http://www.alternate.nl/html/configurator/builder/structure/sendLoad.html?id=135109&kind=pcBuilder

Also what do you know about the Club 3D Radeon HD 7870XT jokerCard? Or should I just get a normal 7870? (nvidia equivalent is too expencive)

Could also buy http://www.alternate.nl/html/product/ALTERNATE/Upgrade_Kit_ASRock_970_Extreme3_-_FX-8120_-_8_GB/998152/?tk=7&lk=4118  instead of loose parts.

That upgrade kit has a FX8120 though (8cores), but I understand most games only use a few cores anyway?

thoughts? advise? all appreciated:)

Out of the box, the Core i5, but if you're willing to overclock, the FX-6300 should offer a much better value, with comparable real-world performance.

I believe the Joker card is a 7870 Tahiti LE, and that's basically a trimmed 7950, so it should be faster than regular 7870's for around the same price. Nothing but good though I haven't had any personal experience.

As for the combo, it looks solid, but I really don't know the feeling of currency, and my dutch is none existent, so I can't really tell you if it's a better value than buying the parts seperately/
