Can someone give some recommendations on a bike. I'm looking into spending <£200 on a decent hybrid/road bike. Does anyone cycle here?
I only use Mountain Bikes. I hate having skinny tires
I'm an avid cyclist and what I did was I bought a cheaper mountain bike, actually Jamis has an X1 for around $200(US) and I bought road tires and it's a dream. Then I have another Jamis, a DX1 more aimed at wooded areas.
This years' X1, then just buy some road tires with low tread and this beast goes. Never had any issues with mine for months now and I get about 10-20 miles on it a week, more if my girlfriend and I take them to the coast.
I built my own mountain bike, unfortunately I know nothing about road bikes.
One thing I will say, this is the best online shop for bike parts if you need them. Halfords don't actually sell parts.
I'm really liking the look of this bike. If only it was less than £200, have to factor in the cost of accessories,

@Boov, I've had a gander at that website before they have some well priced items. I'm going to deffo be looking at getting disc brakes from there.
That bike has a nice range of gears, 34T is a lot. However, it only seems to have one chainring (front gear), wich won't make it quite as easy going up steep hills/offroad.

That's a nice looking bike, a wider range of gears, lighter, and cheaper.
