BSOD Kernel security check failure?

I have been getting a lot of blue screens lately and it says "kernel security check failure". Any recommendations on how to resolve this?

System

i7 4770k (stock clock)

msi z87 g45

32gb patriot viper ram (did a mem test and they came out fine)

r9 270x

850w thermal take blackwidow

240gb khronos SSD

custom water circuit ( everything runs below 35c idle 50c at max stress)

What antivirus software are you using? If many then please remove all but one.

What version of windows are you using?

a minidump file would probably help as-well :)

Sorry thought i put it in there. Im on win8 and it continued with i did the upgrade to 8.1 64 bit. The anti virus i use is microsoft essentials.
